Sorry it’s a late post but it’s been a crazy week!

Water broke Tuesday 2/11 at 11:15pm.

Went to hospital Wednesday 2/12 at 2am, admitted at 3am.

Labor didn’t start on its own, so they induced me with misoprostyl at 4am. It resulted in contractions that were too close together which made his heart rate dip after each contraction. So they put me on pitocin to control them.

I thought I could handle the pain but I just couldn’t! They put me on fentanyl and then morphine later so I could sleep.

Thursday, 2/13, I hadn’t progressed passed 1cm so they inserted a Foley bulb. I got to 5.5cm.

End of Thursday I had not progressed more than 5.5cm! So they gave me the option if I wanted a C-section, which I said YES! Laboring for 46 hours, I was done!

Samson was born via c-section at 2:43am Valentine’s Day 💙

He was born with the cord wrapped twice around his neck and once around his body! I feel like my body was telling me to do the c section because it would have been worse to try vaginally.

I can’t believe he’s here and that a week has gone by already!! ❤️❤️❤️
