Basinet Recommendations?

Question

This would be to keep in our bedroom. Planning to keep a pack and play in our living room and her crib in her room as well. We want to use a basinet for the first few months and then transition her to crib. Do not want the Halo (looks great but way too expensive) and also do not want a bedside sleeper. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Honestly I would just do the pack and play and get 1 to start with like below and see how the baby does. My son hated the side sleeper and he liked the pack and play for a bit. A lot of the bassinets have a low weight max so if you want to get a long use of it it pack and play might be way to go.

We got this one. For much cheaper at babies r us. It was on sale for $60-$70. 
It worked fine. My guy outgrew it very quickly but it packs up great for travel.

This was a sleep saver!  My newborn was not sleeping any where but in my arms when we first got home.  He would cry and flail out his arms and legs.  When we introduced the Dock A Tot, it really helped him keep his body organized and rest peacefully.  Plus we can move the Dock A Tot easily from room to room or utilize in our pack n play.  Definitely worth the investment!

I used a Moses Basket and the rocking cradle base in the picture below. It was super easy to travel with us (not the base)-the basket itself. We kept the base next to our bed and if she started to cry or stir in her sleep I just reached my arm over and would start rocking the base so she would fall back asleep easy. It was also easy to move the base to the living room while we were watching tv or wherever we were in the house. I found it to be very cost effective as well.
