No more period???

So my period is a week late. I got my IUD back in August of last year. There was literally zero chance that I could be pregnant but I took a test anyways. It was negative which I am thankful for because I am in college and don’t want a baby for a long time. I had some spotting earlier this month but didn’t really think much about it because sometimes I spot in between periods. So does this mean my IUD finally took away my period? Fingers crossed it took away my period because that would just be amazing!
