Can’t urinate

I’m a week and 2 days PP and I have been having trouble urinating for the past couple days but for the past few hours I can’t go at all and I don’t know what to do.

I feel like I have to go and I’ll sit on the toilet and it feels like I’m about to go but nothing comes out. I don’t want to have to go to the ER but I don’t know what else to do.

This happened after I gave birth and they had to do a catheter for my first urination but after that I’ve had no issues until now. I’m panicking.

Update!

It’s 4:40am and I was finally able to go! Fell asleep and woke up to feed and change little man and decided to try and go again beforehand in case we would have to go get checked and was able to go no problem. Dunno why I couldn’t earlier but glad that’s over with.
