Is your baby ever grinding top/bottom teeth?

Question

If so, what are you doing about it, or not? Anyone asked a doctor or dentist about it? Super paranoid since I ground my teeth in my sleep about 18 years, hoping this isn’t the start of
something and hoping it’s just exploration/teething.

It’s normal for babies to grind their teeth. They do this as their jaw is growing and their teeth are erupting. Things are not aligned at this point. As they get older and are toddlers it is still generally normal as again misalignment can be normal as things are still growing. They also may grind to relieve pain from teething. I wouldn’t worry about it this will continue for years. There is no treatment for grinding at this age. Treatment for grinding would be a night guard which generally isn’t recommended until all adult teeth are fully erupted which will be early teenage years. - dental hygienist

Yup, ever since the top teeth cut. I've read that it's normal and we just shouldn't draw attention to it. We try to distract him or offer a teething toy instead. The sound is HORRIFYING 😭

Ugh yes! My one son doesn't stop doing it. And I just tell him to stop lol but he doesn't. I thought it was just him getting used to having them in his mouth. Hopefully lol
