Due Date?

So I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my first. At 35 weeks I was dilated 1cm and the week after 36 weeks I was still at 1cm.. I'm not due till March 13th, but is there a chance she could come earlier? Hopefully my 37 week appointment I'll be dilated a bit more. I'm just so ready to meet my little girl 😭💖 
Has anyone else had their first a bit earlier than their expected due date? Also any tips for inducing labor or just speeding up the process would be much appreciated ❣

You could be 4cm and walking around for weeks without going into labor. Dilation won’t tell you anything about when you’ll go into labor.

Most doctors won’t do a sweep until you are at your due date. Walk squat and sex. Baby will come when ready. With my 1st I was at a 1 for 4 weeks and she came a week overdue.  🤷🏼‍♀️

I wouldn’t try to induce your labor until you’re at least full term. 37 weeks is the cutoff for a premature baby. Dilation means nothing. Letting baby cook as long as they need to is best (I know not what you want to hear, but the truth)

Ask your doctor for a membrane sweep :) both the OBs I’ve had have done it at 37 weeks. Since you’re a centimeter dilated they should be able to do one. If you do, stay very active that day. Go for a long walk, clean your house, have sex.

I was at 1cm for about a week at 35 weeks. Then went in to L&D bc of cramping/bleeding and was at 2cm at 36 weeks. Now 37 weeks, lost a piece of my mucus plug the other day and still nothing. Talk to ur doctor and see if they want to move things along. I'm supposed to be getting induced at 38 weeks due to babe measuring small.

I had a membrane sweep at 38+3 (Wednesday), water broke Thursday morning and he was born super early Friday morning so 9 days before due date. I was delivering the mail so walking 5-10 miles a day as well.
