Easiest labor ever

So I finally get to share my birth story! Ok a first time mom and I had no idea what to expect. My birthday was on the 19th and I turned 20. My baby boys due date was March 3.

So on the 22nd of Feb, I noticed I had a headache that had been lingering for the past two days and I just felt off, even my dog was acting super weird with me . So anyways I have a blood pressure checker thing at home , so I just decided to check it , and when I did it was THROUGH THE ROOF . So I called a nurse and she didn’t seem to care, she just said if I wanted to come in I could.

So an hour later I drove myself to the hospital 25 min away.. and when I got there, sure enough my BP was high. While I was sitting there being monitored, I felt a big kick and then Everything was wet. My water broke ! So I called her back In and told her. She was very surprised. So she moved me into a delivery room.

After like 2 hours I was in a lot of pain and decided to get the epidural, I felt like I failed because I didn’t make it that far without it. Once I got it, they checked I was at 3cm. All I gotta say is THANK GOD for epidural ..

Anyways so 2 hours later , I’m feelin great just chillen, they decide to check me again and I was 7cm!! The nurses were so shocked that I dilated so quickly , especially for this being my first time .

After another couple hours , I was at 10, and it was time to push.. that was honestly the hardest thing I’ve ever done, he was sunny side up and not turning around, so for 2 hours I was pushing and pushing, I honestly thought he wasn’t going to come out, I was so tired, but finally I was like ok I’m done with this, and pushed him out I’m the last couple pushes . Such a relief. They put him on my chest and I just lost it. I didn’t even tear ! He was small, 6lbs 8oz but I’m also a small girl so very very surprised I didn’t tear at all.
