Bathing how often?

I was told by the nurse to bathe my newborn once a week (she’ll be a week old tomorrow, her first bath was 3 days old) but I was reading it’s recommended to bathe them 2-3 times a week, so tell me, how often are you bathing your newborn? I’ve noticed her hair looks a little greasy but of course she still smells fresh and great lol

My baby is 9 weeks old and has had 4 baths total since birth.  It’s not necessary unless they’re actually dirty and frequent bathing can dry out their skin (even if it’s just water).

We did them every night after his cord fell off. It was part of his bedtime routine. We wouldn’t use soap every night, but he loved (and still loves) just sitting in the water

I would only bath her once aweek.  You don’t want her skin to dry out.   
Heck my child is 3 years old and she gets a bath once a week.  It’s winter here and it’s not like she is out getting dirty and sweaty.  Plus more baths would make her skin dry out.

I started to follow the doctors advice of 1 baths week and my daughter broken out in eczema all over her body.  They told me it was baby acne and not to worry about it.  A week later we went back in and she was covered and I was worried and the doctor said it was not baby acne (which can get worse with frequent bathing and using lotions) it was eczema (which gets worse with infrequent bathing and no lotion).  As soon as I started bathing her every other day her skin cleared right up.  After the bath I covered her head to toe in eucerine lotion.

I just got into a routine of bathing every three days, that way it basically ends up being twice a week :) Do what works best for your schedule! Gotta love that newborn smell too lol

Every 2 to 3 days my daughter has bad heat rash it’s very hot here or whenever she has a really dirty nappy and only with water

My daughter is 10 weeks. Till about last week I bathed her 2 times a week. Last week I started bathing her every day as part of her bedtime routine. I only use some oil in the bath that is especially made for baby’s and won’t harm her skin
