THRUSH AGAIN

Help. I am at the end of my rope here. My 3 month old son was treated for three weeks with nystatin with NO improvement. He was then hospitalized for RSV and was given fluconazole for three days, cleared it up right away.. but he went home on antibiotics for pneumonia... and no additional fluconazole. I have only been pumping/bottle feeding and sanitizing everything like a crazy person bc I got it once and it was AWFUL... but I nursed him once last week in an emergency, and now we both have it again. He has white spots all over his mouth, and i have shooting burning pain after pumping again.

I called my OB basically breaking down saying we’ve been through a lot.. can you please just treat me. They said no problem and I’m on diflucan for 14 days. The problem is- my sons pediatrician refuses to try anything other than nystatin. So I’m worried I’ll clear it and then just get it back from him!!! And he acts like it’s no big deal AND TO GIVE IT TIME. Uhm the knife in my boob after each pump says otherwise SIR.

I will never be able to nurse my son if he doesnt clear this.. bc if I have to take two weeks of a medication I’m not going to nurse him if he still has it!!!!

What do I do 😭😭 everything is so difficult. I’m gonna just give him formula.
