Anyone’s baby get this with their shots?

It’s swollen & warm to the touch.

I called his doctor who suggested it was a localized side effect to do cold compress and Tylenol. It’s now been 24 hours and the redness is gone along with most of the swelling. He still has a palpable knot which they say will go down in a few days or weeks. Just glad he’s not in pain  like yesterday.

My son just had his shots today and the doctor said any swelling or redness to take him to an urgent care or the hospital. As well with a fever of 100° or more. I'm no doctor a healthcare professional so I will call your pediatrician and see what they say.

My son's leg did that! I put a cold wash cloth on it and gave him some tylenol. The redness and swelling went away within a half hour and never returned!

My son just had his shots on Friday and he had that same reaction from the Tdap vaccine, started a few hours after the shot. It was swollen, red, a bit warm feeling, and clearly very tender based on how he reacted when it was touched.  He also had a mild fever of 100.6. 
I called the night nurse line associated with my pediatricians office and after discussing his symptoms with the nurse, she didn’t believe he needed urgent care as swelling is a common reaction to the tetanus portion of the shot and he was mostly behaving normal other than a bit of fussiness.  I was advised to treat it with infant Tylenol and I could use a cold compress on the swelling, if he would tolerate it (he didn’t).  However, the nurse advised that if the swelling grew in size, his fever increased, or I started noticing any other symptoms to immediately call back.  By morning, the fever was gone and the swelling/tenderness had significantly reduced. 
While I think the reaction is not abnormal, I definitely suggest calling your pediatrician to make sure as I am sure the advice varies doctor to doctor.
