Has anyone had a tooth abscess and was fine with there pregnancy?

HELPPPP! 
I was having tooth pain a couple weeks ago but it’s gone now, but now I feel like there’s a small bump on my jaw... It doesn’t hurt at all, just discomfort? Do I have to make an appt? I don’t have insurance & dentist are SUPER pricey in my area 😔

I had a gum abscess in my first pregnancy. I went to the dentist- he drained and cleaned it and put me on antibiotics. I was fine. You can’t just walk around with an abscess in your mouth though and expect to be fine. It’s an infection and your immune system is weak in pregnancy. Go to the dentist!

You realize if it IS an abscess it can get into your head being that close considering it's in your mouth. Plus you are pregnant so even more susceptible to further infection . Go To. The. Dentist....

I currently have a very aggressive dental abscess 
I have had it drained twice now and have finished my course of antibiotics this morning. 
I go back for a checkup tomorrow. 
The bump has gone down from my gum if you look, but if you feel, it’s still there and still very tender (much better than when it started, but still) 
It’s also been causing me jaw pain radiating down to my neck on that side and has stopping me from sleeping. 
Several days in the early morning I’ve been pacing up and down in the bathroom, holding my face and swearing cause of the relentless pain and been tempted more than once to bash myself in the face from frustration in the hope of knocking the damn tooth out
That’s WITH treatment. 
Imagine if I didn’t get it treated! In fact, I’m eating dinner now and just chewed once by accident on that side and swore from the pain.
Such infections can also get into your blood stream and harm you and baby. I’ve nearly died from septicaemia, peritonitis and multiple organ failure in my life from post-op complications and it was so severe, it was 3 years before I was well enough to even go back to university! I know how quickly it CAN (not saying it will) escalate.
I’m lucky that in the UK, you get a certificate when pregnant that exempts you from prescription and dental treatment costs. Yeah, treatment can be expensive depending on where you are, but what’s more important - money so you have to do without for a while or your and your child’s health?! 
I’ve had to pay hundreds before when I was in another country on my honeymoon due to needing an impacted wisdom tooth removed - it came down and cracked the molar next to it. Again 3-4am pacing the bathroom swearing and crying. Meant we had to be really careful with the rest of our spending money, but health is more important

Did you self diagnose? If it is abcsess, then it is best to act promptly. It can cause blood poisoning and a lot of other things, you don't want, even if not pregnant.

Don’t let that go unchecked. I had an abscess on my tonsil when I wasn’t pregnant and ended up being admitted to the hospital for iv antibiotics. 
An abscess is not something to mess with

I don’t think you should put off a dentist visit...doesn’t matter if pregnant or not, I think you should get it looked at :)

If it’s an abscess I would definitely get into a dentist as the longer they go the worse they get!
