just wondering? is it a questionnaire they do? what if someone lies on it?

Answer

Most Dr's will have you answer several questionnaires over your 12 month post partum period. The questions are designed to help the Dr's catch signs of PPD early & get you help. Like all mental health issues, though, unless you are going through a very obvious psychotic episode, then, there is no way to tell if you have PPD if you lie on the questionnaire. Hopefully if someone has PPD, they want to get help.

Yes, it's a questionnaire.
If someone lies about it, we'll then... That's their choice. You can't ever force anyone to get help. Especially if they're not ready to admit to the world how they truly feel.
