How would you know if it’s a sign from God?

I know this experience can be different for everyone but any input would be appreciated❣️

Does it line up with His Word? Have you prayed about it and asked for clarification?

I honestly don’t believe I’ve ever had a “this is sign” moment in the moment. I’ve always looked back at situations and realized that. The devil hears your prayers too. So what can look like a sign from God could be trouble waiting to happen too.

You can never know for sure. That’s literally what faith is. Believing and trusting when there isn’t proof or concrete evidence. If you have a feeling, just trust the feeling and have faith.

Most important, does it line up with Gods word and character as revealed  through the bible? God will never tell you anything or ask you to do anything that is contrary to His word 
What is the counsel of Godly people around you? Ask for advice from people you trust and see if they agree with your assessment of what you feel Gods word is for you 
Pray. Ask God for wisdom. Earnestly seek His will. 
Does everything seem to fall into place? Suddenly everything just seems to work together so that it’s possible to do what you think Gods will is for you? 
Those are the things I look for when trying to make a decision and wondering what Gods will is.
