Help... 36 weeks 5 days FTM

Cervix is high and not at all soft.i know it's still early.

My dr said we will do another ultrasound next week or the next to check his weight again. Hes about 4173 grams currently.

If he is between 4500 and 5000 grams, she can elect to do a c section. Due to his size and the increase in complications that can come from being that large and being birthed vaginally. Such as increases the risks of tearing, babies shoulder can get stuck, may not even fit through the pelvis, could have to vacuum, or use forceps to pull him out, potential of pushing for hours and making no progress just to have a c section, or other possible complications.

While yes I can wait and try to deliver vaginally. But there are so many risks that I feel like over power the positives of even trying vaginally. Maybe I'll get lucky and my cervix will begin to dilate over the next 2 weeks. Idk 😔
