This is how mine started and I ended up in a two year battle with my insurance to get it removed. It caused me to be seriously depressed like to the point I had to get put on medicine and start seeing a therapist. I had to have my therapist write a note specifically saying my depression was caused by the implant and send it into the insurance company. 
**I had been on the depo shot for five years before getting the implant and I did fine with the shot, but for some reason the implant did not agree with me whatsoever**
