Second & third trimester moms! If your baby is measuring big how did they measure him/her?

Just curious how did the doctor measure your baby in third trimester? Was it by ultrasound? I see a lot of posts of women saying in their second and third trimester who say their baby is measuring a week ahead or 2 weeks ahead and I’m wondering if it was through ultrasound or Fundal height?

They should mean by ultrasound. Fundal height isn’t necessarily indicative of baby size but could just mean fluid levels or how you are carrying but I know they get used interchangeably fairly often

Through ultrasound, my baby is measuring two-ish weeks ahead. By fundal height, my baby is measuring 6weeks ahead. I’m going by the ultrasound because that’s been more consistent throughout my pregnancy.

We measured baby yesterday.  I am 34.4 weeks.  Doc did fundal height, which measured 36 weeks, and then ultrasound measured on the smaller side, showing only the 41st percentile.  My doc trusts the ultrasound more for growth.
