Do you hate when people tell you long distance relationship don't workout?

I've been with my long distance boyfriend since December 4th 2014 and I've been long distance with 9 months out of 11 months I was with him. Some of my friends think I shouldn't be in long distance relationship because they don't work out 😐 and that kinda gets me mad because it's not always true it takes two people to make a relationship work! It's about trust commutation and love too.💕

Yes. Me and my boyfriend started out as a long distance relationship and we would see each other every couple of months. We now live 15 minutes away from each other after being in a long distance relationship for a year and a half ☺️

We started out as a LDR and honestly I loooooved it. I’m super independent so having time to myself was super important at the beginning of our relationship. We’ve been married over a year now and sometimes I wish it was still a long distance thing 😂😂😂

I’m not even in a true long distance relationship (only for a few months) and I find it annoying what people say! Both me and my boyfriend are studying abroad and before I left people were so skeptical, saying things like “what if you meet some hot foreign boy?” Its actually bothersome how many people said some version of that. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes but most of the time it’s true. I think you need to have a very strong relationship. My best friends only date foreigners and most of them don’t work out. One of them just ended her 3 year LDR relationship after finding out he cheated and plus neither of them wanted to move to the other in the end; she constantly moved to a country near his and she just wanted to be back him and when she was home he only stayed in her country for 2 months....
Mine didn’t work out either and it wasn’t even that far away. Some do work. My bestfriend has had atleast 4 failed LDR relationships but the LDR one she is in now is still working. Just focus on you.

i married my LDR and we still have spent more time apart than we have together. before marriage i had lived with him and his family for 3 months (1 month visit then later a 2month). after we married we lived together for 5 months. and now also spent over 5 months separated while he is waiting for a visa. We DID however recieve news last week that they will start processing him so im crossing my fingers that he will get his visa next week and be here in time to see our son born as theres only one month left. once this stuff is done we wont ever be separated again so im hoping and praying so much he will get it next week and can buy the plane ticket.
