Should I be worried?

My son will be 15 weeks on Tuesday and he still doesn’t grab for things. He does hit things that are hanging from his activity mat, but I think it’s just a coincidence as he’s flailing his arms. He’s obsessed with sucking on his hands and fingers, so I will shake toys at him but he isn’t motivated to grab them at all. He will track his toys with his eyes, so I do think that he’s interested, but he’s just content to look/watch.

No babies develop at their own pace. I wouldn’t worry so much just yet. 
My LO sucks on his hands constantly as well. He is grabbing every freakin thing including my hair lol but he’s definitely interested in his hands

I was jst going to post something similar. My baby is exactly the same and he will be 15 weeks next Thursday.

My baby is 17 weeks and isn’t interested at all.

My son will be 15wks tomorrow and he too doesn't reach for things. Ditto on the hand sucking....like alllll the time! He does open and close his hands and can inadvertantly grab things that are nearby, but I don't think he is aware of what he is doing. Could just be a lazy boy thing 😅, their time will come eventually!

My baby will reach for things she’s interested in. Some toys she can’t get enough of ..others she won’t even bother.  We switch the toys on her play gym every day so she’s always got something different to look at! :) 
She does have a favourite toy and that will stay there almost everyday because she’s less lively when that toy isn’t there

He’s just taking his time! My son is 15+1 weeks and is JUST starting to grasp toys. Particularly his Buzz Lightyear Lamaze toy. Other than that, he sucks on his hands or bats toys. 
Don’t worry, he will get it in his own time. Milestones are more like guidelines anyway. Every baby is different. 
If you are really concerned, talk to your doctor or pedestrian. And try to encourage him by placing toys in his hands. I found that helps my son.

Every baby does things on their own schedule based on interests. He may be more of an observer than a physical kid. That’s normal and healthy!
