Is this ok?

So my husband and I have an 11 month old son. He isn't named after anyone on either side of our families. We just fell in love with the name.. but now that we are expecting another boy we are thinking about using my husband's name as a middle name. Is that weird? Will our first son be sad we didnt name him after his father? Am I thinking about it too much?

My first son's name is random, my 2nd sons middle name is the same as my dad and sisters middle names but spelled different. If we have a 3rd son we honestly are out of name ideas so he will be named after his dad or his grandpa. I don't think boys care about stuff like that as much.

My dad is the 4th of 5 boys and he’s William Jr, named after his dad. I never heard of any of his older siblings having an issue with it 🤷🏻‍♀️ plus a middle name isn’t going to be used often anyway...I say go for it.

The kids are definitely not going to care lol My husbands first name is totally random, and his younger brother is a Jr of his Dad.
