Alert for new books or sequels

I love reading and read quickly. But then I find out the next book isn’t out for months. My question is...
How do you track the sequels?
I want to read them when they come out but I read so many books between now and then I forget the author names or series names. How do you get alerts for this? Amazon? Another website?
