Ovulation after trigger?

Do you ALWAYS ovulate after you trigger? Last cycle I felt SO bloated and had ovulation pains 2 days after my trigger the day I believe I ovulated. This cycle, I’m two days after the trigger when I should be ovulating and I feel nothing...just trying to reassure myself that triggers force ovulation no matter what!

Ovidrel always makes me feel bloated and crampy. It's like very mild OHSS. I've heard the other trigger shot doesn't cause those side effects. To answer your question. For me, I've always ovulated on the trigger. I always get my period or a positive exactly 14 days later. The ovidrel stays in my system for 11ish days give or take one day.

I’ve been asking my doctor the same thing and she keeps reassuring me that with the trigger shot, it will ALWAYS force you to ovulate. This is round 3 for me and still nothing. Last cycle I had 2 18mm follicles and this cycle I have 2 35mm follicles in the same exact spot. That’s why I had asked if I just didn’t ovulate and the follicles grew into 35mm. All this can be so confusing for me haha 🤦🏻‍♀️
