dealing with herpes and sex

I just found out a month ago that I got genital herpes from receiving oral sex. I’m really sad about it as I am in college and this was my first sexual experience. Now I feel like I will never get to have full sexual experiences ie actual penetrative sex. I feel like I can put my mind more at ease if I learn more about how I can have a sex life while living with genital herpes... Any tips or advice?

Currently my mind is saying “well guess I should just stop talking to men forever to avoid infecting them.” :(
