I don’t understand my body

I’m so confused how my body works. Lately it seems as though I ovulate right after my period but my cycles will be sooo long. I just started my second cycle of femara. After my first cycle of it my period was a little over a week late which put me starting my next period at cd 40. I started femara cd 3 and my period ended cycle day 6. Why on cd 7 do I get a flaming positive? Anyone have experience with this? I’m so confused by why I’m ovulating soo early which is causing me not to fall pregnant.
