HELP! Pinching pain on both sides?

I stopped birth control pills again around 4 months ago and the last week or two I’ve been feeling pinching pains where I’d usually get period cramps but I’m not on my period. Does this mean ovarian cysts? One of my sisters and my mom have a history with them so I’m kinda freaking out. I called my doctor and they said they’re possibly going to order an ultrasound to check things out. Anyone have anything similar? I’m so scared right now because idk what’s going on and I’m afraid it’s going to effect me being able to have a baby.
