Anyone else afraid to go to hospital the wrong time?

This is my third baby. I have never go into labor on my own (had to be induced with previous pregnancies) and I'm like irrationally afraid that I'll look stupid if I go in and I'm not actually in labor. I feel like because I've done this before they'll think I'm stupid if I go in for nothing. Anyone else worried about this?

Don't be worried about it. If it does happen, you aren't the first woman that it's happened to. Just follow your gut. When you think it's time to go, you pack up, and go.

You wouldn't be the first or the last! I have also never gone into labor i had a csection with my first so I'm also a bit worried about that too but i know women go in all the time for false labor

My doctor told me never to be embarrassed about going into the ER for thinking you're in labor. Say you go in and think your water broke, but you just peed yourself, at least you and baby will get checked out and know what's going on. Nothing wrong with getting informed and making sure your little one is doing ok!

When I went into labor with my daughter they were talking about sending me home. I felt so bad (We drove 1.5 hours to get there and the pain was so intense). I ended up staying, but I definitely was nervous.

Every pregnancy is different. You never know this might be the pregnancy you go into labor on your own. So I would never chance it! They deal with plenty of false labor you wouldn't be the first or last!

Yes, same. But the nurses at my hospital during our tour were like you know what, we're not gonna be mad or annoyed with you, we want you to have a healthy labor and if you feel something needs to be checked out, come in, don't take chances. It was so nice to hear that and I would imagine most hospitals take the same stance.
