Herpes.

So 2 weeks ago my boyfriend and I had sex. We have been for almost two years & we always have unprotected sex. This time we had sex he got like a dildo/vibrator & used it on/ inside me. We have never used a toy before. So a few a days after I had started to experience symptoms of a uti so I had went to the ER & they took urine & said I had a uti & yeast infection so i took the antibiotics they gave me. & they also said everything came back negative like for chlamydia, trich, & gonnorea. So a few days go by and I when I would use the bathroom I noticed that it would burn so bad.. Then a few days after I notice red sores down there so I automatically freak out thinking it could be herpes. So I go get seen at a clinic & the doctor while she was looking down there said it definitely didn't look like herpes because herpes come in clusters & I didn't have that but she couldn't put a name of what she thought it was she had said maybe Dermatitis or folliclitus. Then she asked if maybe I had used any different lube or something that could've possibly caused an allergic reaction. So I told her about using a toy & maybe it not being clean. Then she took culture tests on the sores & urine test. So after I had got seen the sores has went away on their own. Then I get my results back & said I tested positive for herpes simplex 1. Could it be a misunderstanding? I was told from other people to get tested by getting my blood drawn. I don't understand how🤦🏻‍♀️😔 I told my partner & he had said he has never had sex with anyone. So that's the weird thing to me is because we've always had sex & NEVER had this problem. It's been really upsetting & we are both confused because he said he has never cheated so we're not sure how I could have it because I don't have sex with anyone else. He said he never had symptoms but I read online a guy won't really show symptoms. Unless he has had it for a long time without knowing? I really need some advice. My test results came back negative for everything else. We plan on both getting blood work done & see the results. Am I in denial?
