What’s the best vacuum I should buy? (

Just bought a new house & it has carpet, I’ve never had carpet and never have owned a vacuum cleaner. What vacuum brand (and model) should I buy to keep carpets clean? I have a cat who sheds & plan on eventually getting a dog, so plenty of fur around that I want to be able to remove from carpet. I also have a toddler so crumbs get around. Thank you!

Dyson does not work good for pet hair. Sharks work way better. Dysons are honestly over rated. I have had both. The dysons sucked in a bad way and didnt clean that well. Shark cleaned the best

I got a dyson from my bridal shower. We were living in my fiancé’s parents house at the time and I tried the vacuum on his moms bedroom carpet. The carpet is at least 20 years old. I went one stripe across and you could see a major color difference. I did like a quarter of her very large room and it literally filled the canister. The suction is unbelievable. She was so impressed she bought that vacuum off of me and I went and got another.
