Contraction or Braxton Hicks?

3rd pregnancy. 19w 3 d.
For 4 hrs I keep having sharp “contraction” pains on my left side. Every now and then on the right. I have had quite the busy day, but nothing out of the norm of my usually daily life with two toddlers. Made sure to drink plenty of fluids as always. They last for about 10 seconds and then go away and pop up about every 5 minutes. Should I be concerned? Not really wanting to go to ER. We’re suppose to have a anatomy scan Wednesday.

Braxton Hicks so far for me have presented as a hardening of my entire abdomen; it’s pretty obvious. I imagine contractions would be similar just more intense and getting closer together etc. Intermittent one sided pain may be more round ligament pain (or gas?), so probably not worth an ER visit unless you’re bleeding but you could always call your OB and let them know. I know how stressful every new pain can be!!

Sounds more like round ligament pain especially if you’re being active with 2 toddlers

Sorry I don’t know. Sounds like me I hate going to the er . N they usually tell me it’s nothing but if they hurt I would call at least
