Coronavirus, going on a weekend trip?

Question

My husband and I booked a little weekend getaway for our one year marriage anniversary this weekend to Stowe Vermont. We will be driving down from Canada.
My hubby and mother in law are now worried about me going as im 7 weeks pregnant. 
I dont see why they’re so worried as theres only one case in vermont as per google! A lot more cases in my town than that and were fine! 
Should I be worried?

I would personally avoid and unnecessary travel.

I mean, if you are staying at an air bnb and driving, then maybe. I wouldn’t stay in a hotel right now. Also, consider that the US currently comes in last in the world for testing per capita. We are simply not testing people anywhere near the volume we should be. Something went very wrong here with testing. So there are likely thousands more cases than we have documentation for.

I’d still go. Avoid public transportation and crowded places, wash your hands often, and you should be just fine.

I’m in the UK and have a holiday booked in Portugal next month. I wasn’t pregnant when we booked it, and Coronavirus hadn’t  blown up by then. I’m a little nervous now I am pregnant as I know our immune systems wont be as good as usual. However, I’m not going to let it stop my plans. Just a few extra precautions. I’ve never had the flu in my life because I’m careful, so I should hope it will be the same in this case. I have read that MOST cases of Coronavirus are mild, with some likening it to a bad cough. Of course, the most severe cases are the ones that the media report on.
(We booked it on the proviso I MIGHT be pregnant by then because it may be our last holiday as a couple. I need to be laid by a pool with a book and a bit of sunshine)

I am 7 weeks tmrw and traveling for work. Flying between OR and CO. I just make sure to wash my hands, wipe down the arm rests and trays with wipes, etc... women, particularly under 50 are low risk for severe symptoms and there hasnt been anything on whether it affects pregnancy. Biggest concern would be fever but that applies to getting the flu and you wouldn't change your plans for the flu. Practice good sanitation and dont share drinks and you should be okay.

I'm a paranoid person so I cancelled my trip in june ! I think it's all up to preference. I follow a couple of nurses on instagram who have said that this mass hysteria over the coronavirus is not neccessary and that we should live our lives.

I'm pretty paranoid about coronavirus, and I'm typically not paranoid about sickness. However, if you are driving eg not using public transit, and you're staying somewhere kinda remote (nor sure where you're staying, but when I hear Vermont, I think of a quiet type of trip away from people and crowds), in that case I would think your risk is no different than staying in Canada. If you were flying, going to a city, on a cruise etc, I would say no.
