Is this racist

Is it racist or wrong for a white/Native American woman to get box braids in her hair? I’ve always loved and thought they are beautiful but I feel like If I got them I’d be attacked as a racist or trying to steal culture when I wouldn’t be trying to do that at all I just think it’s beautiful and would love to try it with my hair but I don’t want to give anyone the wrong idea or think wrong of me I just want to know what everyone’s honest opinions are about this and feel free to comment even if it is harsh towards me I’m just trying to figure out what the majority of people think about this
