Co-sleeping?? My baby doesn’t settle in her bassinet...help!

Does anyone co sleep? My baby is 3 weeks old and the only way she’ll sleep is in bed with me, i put her in her bassinet when we first go to bed but when she wakes up for her first feed she will not settle back to sleep unless I bring her in bed with me.  I don’t want to co sleep as I know she’s safest in her own space but I don’t know what to do.  If I try and get her back in her own space she cries and won’t settle, and then we both end up staying awake and it completely wipes me for the following day.  Does anyone have any advice on what to do, I’ve tried swaddling and she isn’t a fan of that and I’m at a bit of a loss.

What about a cosleeper that attaches to the bed? She’ll have her own space, but still feel close to you. You can even have your arm around her until she drifts off. That way she’s not in the bed, but to her it should feel like she is.

In the hospital they made a 'nest' in the bassinet...they literally twisted a blanket into a sausage and placed it in the cot in an oval shape just so the baby fitted snug inside it, then they put the bassinet sheet over the top to avoid the suffocation risk I guess.  Worked for us as it made baby feel more secure/close/cosy.  We kept this for the first month then successfully removed it as baby got bigger with no problems.

I do. My daughter is 15 weeks. I started at 4 weeks because she would wake up crying until I brought her to bed with me. She started sleeping through the night at 4 weeks right when we started to co-sleep. She does 10pm-8/9am.

This is like the millionth post I’ve seen about co sleeping that is actually bed sharing 🙄 
Co sleeping is safe. Get her a little crib/ bassinet that connects to the side of your bed which gives her her own space but is within sensory proximity.

You are referring to bed sharing. Co-sleeping ( sleeping in the same room with babe on their back on a firm mattress, alone in their own sleep space like a bassinet, pack n play or crib) is recommended to 6 months- to a year. I refuse to bed share. It’s not worth the risks no matter what “rules” are followed. Make a bedtime routine and stay consistent. The little things you do in order every night will signal that it’s time for rest and will get easier the longer you do it. Try swaddling, white noise, projection night light, lavender essential oil, bouncing/rocking, shushing, sleep with a bassinet or crib sheet for a cpl nights to get your scent on it, read books/sing songs. I co slept from the get go. When my son got a like 3 months old I started putting him in the pack n play and he slept fine until 8 months and he’s in bed with us half the night because he’s going through a growth spurt and just loves to cuddle

I put my Snuggle Me Organic in her basinet for the first few weeks. It's not technically recommended, but I figured that since she couldn't roll over it was okay!
