Afraid of corona? Over reacting?? HELP

My friend is being quarantined because she has the corona virus. Everyone is making jokes about it but now that someone I know has it and is suffering I’m panicking. This guy I’ve been seeing has had a whooping cough for like 2-3 weeks. I keep saying go check on it, but he says he doesn’t go to the doctor and he doesn’t think it’s that serious. I called him and told him when i found out my friend had it that he seriously needs to get it looked at, but he brushed it off. He wants me to come spend the night but I don’t feel comfortable going there right now. I’m unsure if he has insurance we’re both 21, I’m unsure of his reasoning for not going? But i don’t want to put my family at risk or myself. What are your thoughts? I also suffer from anxiety and the hysteria is not helping.
