Is 9 months of TTC too short to consider IVF?

Just discovered this group! Great to see it exists.

Is 9 months of TTC too short a time trying to consider IVF? By the time I start it will probably be 1 year of TTC. I’m worried I may be acting too dramatically by considering it so soon. I’m 33, my husband is 43. Aside from low sperm volume per ejaculation (count is fine) nothing else seemed wrong at this stage. Both of us live quite stressed lives with work / travel. Been staying in my job because of maternity package (6 months paid leave) but considering it’s not working thus far I may quit after I tried ivf or even without trying ivf in the search of a less stressful environment to conceive.
