Chest Pains
Yes, I vape. I know it’s terrible but I was a cigarette smoker for years and this seemed like the best alternative and I haven’t smoked in 3 years. I started getting chest pains on my left side. They’re only in this one spot, pretty sharp, and only occur when I’m taking deep breaths. This started a few weeks ago & at first I wrote it off as being out of shape and ignored it. As the days continued, I started having like an “attack” randomly where it would just start happening. This usually occurs when I’m doing nothing. Since it kept happening, I decided to stop vaping because I figured that aggravates my breathing. I haven’t inhaled anything other than oxygen in a week and the pain is not necessarily getting worse but the “attacks” are becoming more frequent and lasting longer. So I went on WebMD and read that left sided chest pains can be a signal of a heart attack, but since this has been going on for a few weeks I don’t know if that’s true. I also don’t have any pain in my leg, jaw, arm, or neck. I just wanna know why this is happening, I’d prefer to stay away from hospitals. I am a broke college student with no financial support and I recently had acute kidney failure (it was super random, I’m 21 and don’t even drink/use drugs) and I’ve been paying off my horrible medical bills for months. On top of that, I live in Seattle and coronavirus is pretty bad over here right now.
