Birth control

I had my PP check up at 6 weeks and she said everything looked nicely healed and she cleared me for just about everything (except exercise since my abdominal muscles are still fairly separated) anyway... she didn’t put me on BC. She wanted to wait for my period to come back. The thing is before pregnancy I had SUPER irregular periods. I’d get it one month for a whole month and wouldn’t get it again for 2-3 months. I’m also EBF and I know that delays your period as well. I have an appt on the 20th to get the depo shot, I’m worried she won’t give it to me since I still haven’t gotten my period.

Also, do you guys recommend the Depo? I was on it before I got pregnant but it kind of messed my body up but it’s the only BC I know was effective for me. I can’t remember to take the pills everyday 😭
