Ex's new girlfriend..?

I've been dating my boyfriend for a year and a half. Back in 2013, I dated a guy for a little while before we broke up. Today, I saw on Facebook news feed that my ex is now in a relationship with a new girl. This is the first girl that he's dated officially that I know of since we broke up.

For some reason this doesn't sit well with me. It makes no sense because I love my boyfriend so much and haven't spoken to my ex since we broke up. Is it normal to feel weird seeing your ex with a new person...even if you're happily taken?

It's normal just ignore it and if you can't just let it go delete him on fb. I have been married for 2 years and still feel weird knowing my ex is with some girl like what does she have that I don't? Etc but I would never in a million years want to be with him again

Totally normal. When my ex and I were together, he always told me he didn't want to get married again (was married before we met) and just over a year after we split, he was remarried and has a kid now. That was about 6 years ago, and I still sometimes get jealous, but then I remember how much happier I am without him in my life, and that because of that split I was able to cultivate an amazing friendship that has turned into a fantastic relationship with my now SO (5 years together off and on this past May - I moved to a different state, so things get difficult sometimes!).

Yes, it's completely normal. You used to have feelings for him, and will probably always care for him even if it's as a friend. This will pass. It could even be a little jealousy since he is with someone new after so long. But I promise, it's normal!
