When is 1st trimester over??

Next week I will be 13 weeks according to this app. Is that when my first trimester is over, or will it be the next week when the app says I'm 14 weeks? Thanks!!

According to the sources I looked at, when you're 13 weeks that means you finished 13 weeks and now are few days over. So, when the app says you're 13 weeks you started the 14th week which is the beginning of the second trimester. I was as confused last week when I was convinced I'll enter the second trimester next week but I will in 2 days.

I felt more confident that my pregnancy was going to last once I hit 13 weeks, but splitting 40 weeks over 3 trimesters makes it more like  when you hit 14 weeks I believe. It's all kind of weird because 40 doesn't decide evenly by 3 🤷‍♀️

I have always gone by 13 weeks. But then again, I’m only pregnant for exactly 39 weeks and not a day more, so that’s what I go off of.

I’m 13 weeks today and the app said “welcome to your second trimester” so I’m assuming 13 weeks but I’ve also read the beginning of 14 weeks.
