Post partum needs

Question

Can you give me a list of some must have post partum needs both for me and for baby!? This is my second baby, but for the life of me I cannot think of what I used or needed the first time around. Due in a month so I need to start prepping now!

For myself I used the hospital pads I had no issue with they were cotton comfortable and why not. Once my bleeding slowed down I switched to always infinity pads they’re super comfy you can tell you’re wearing them. Comfy big undies and loose comfy clothes. For baby nothing special just want they needed in general.

I wore these until my bleeding slowed down and got lighter than I switched to the same always pads that the other person commented on here. I also used the Frida peri bottle because it has a curved neck and was way easier to use than the one they give you at the hospital. Ice packs are a must and you can even make padsicles but I never got a chance to make them before I went into labor and I just didn’t bother afterwards.

This is in addition to the squirt bottle they sell. It’s got the disposable mesh panties, the instant ice packs/maxi pads, the witch hazel wipes, and the witch hazel foam. It also comes in a nice little caddy, so it easily sits on the back of your toilet. The squirt bottle is sold separately, but it’s worth it. You’d be buying these types of products anyway, so might as well get it all together. 🙂
I honestly love the whole Frida Mom line. It’s nice that there’s a company that has really focused on what moms need to help heal and recuperate in the initial postpartum days.

Witch hazel for your pad!

Epsom salt girl!!! This saved me. I would just soak in the tub enough to cover my legs & VJJ with some epsom salt Unscented. 
Also earth mama bath soak I warmed up like tea and made Padsicles out of that liquid. But when I put the Padsicles on I put a paper towel between me and the pad. It feels cold at first but it warms up fast. ALSO! After the baths just air out & lay “open” on a dog training pad. Even if you bleed still it’s ok. I think that’s what helped me heal so fast. Also the earth mama perineal spray 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
