IUD INFORMATION!?????

Question

So, I’ve just turned 24 and and I’m not looking to have kids for at LEAST 3 more years. I’m looking for info into it. With this whole outbreak it’s impossible for me to talk to my OBGYN or my Family Practitioner. So if any of you have one, please help a girl out!!

See the only possible difference is that I’m from Canada and like I have no idea how long I should be waiting before having unprotected sex with the IUD I’m just so confused

I have the Kyleena IUD. I did A TON of research on it and kyleena seemed to have the best reviews. I’ve had it since December and so far so good! The only bad side effect is my skin has been breaking out more than usual, but I got on a better skin care routine and am able to manage it. 👍🏼

I got the skyla. It only lasts 3 years, but it has the least amount of hormones which is why I chose it. It is the only birth control I’ve ever been on and I don’t think I would choose anything else. I’m on my second one and I’ve enjoyed it. It did hurt pretty bad during insertion, honestly, some the worst pain I’ve ever had, but it only last for a moment. I would say the first 6 months were pretty rough because my body was trying to get used to it but after that, things have been great. I love that I can have sex without worrying and that I don’t have to remember a pill every single day at the same time. If you can tolerate pain and a few months of your body getting use to it, then I would recommend it. It’s not for everybody though, so talking to your GYN when you get the chance is the best thing to do. I hope everything works out for you!

Had mirena and had a terrible time!!! Insertion was EXTREMELY painful and over the two years I had it, I had every single side effect from sore breasts to the IUD rejecting and causing extreme cramps and weight gain. My experience was definitely not great but everybody's bodies are different!
