Wonder if anyone feels silly or regrets how they spoke to others who were worried about this earlier?

So many women on here (and even nurses I follow on Instagram) were saying the flu is worse than this. Just wash your hands and don’t be stupid. I’ve seen really rude responses over valid concerns. Now it seems like everyone has changed their tune 🤷🏻‍♀️  I wonder if anyone regrets being so rude or dismissing the virus as “no big deal”..

I 100% regret everything I said and posted before!
I thought people were overreacting, I thought the flu was worse, I thought it would all be over by the end of March.
I am incredibly depressed and anxious. My mental health has gone downhill since my husband and I started self-isolating.
I’m sad and scared 99% of the day.

I've been watching this go down since early January when it was just becoming a problem in wuhan.  I told my husband then that this was going to be bad and he just laughed it off. As much as I wanted to be like see i fucking told you,  I've kept quiet. The way the worlds governments and the CDC and WHO dealt with this in ita early stages is a big part of the reason why people didn't take it seriously.  They didn't want to sound the alarm bells and cause a panic and did everything they could to lull people into a false sense of security and that's exactly what they got. People not taking it seriously.  Im more concerned about the people who are still going on about it being less serious than the flu or it only effects old and immunocompromised people. This thing can seriously fuck your lungs up, we are still learning more about it every day. In both canada and the US the number of deaths are higher right now then the number of recoveries( or at least it was last i checked)

To be honest, I am still not overly concerned about it. I am more concerned with the economy and the lack of supplies. I haven't made fun of anyone, but I do think these extreme measures are an overreaction. That being said, I am staying home with my children like I am being told to do.

I regret everything I said before, in these Glow posts and irl.
Last week or so I don't really remeber I still wanted to have a baby shower. Now idk how or why but I suddently got this reality check that all these things I was still doing weren't worth compromising your health for.
I'm anxious and due in early May with triplet girls. I didn't think it would get so bad. Now I'm taking this seriously and protecting myself and my family. I'm sorry I didn't realize how serious this really is earlier.
Now I'm scared and uncertain. Before I thought this would all be over in March and that only Spain Italy and China would be affected. It definitely didn't.
Now I feel silly and stupid for not realizing this sooner. I feel like a super shitty mom for putting my kids in harm's way willingly. I regret everything, belive me. I deserve this big "World's Worst Mom" award.😖

I definitely feel silly for underestimating it.  Had a cruise scheduled for next month that until about two weeks ago I thought I might still be able to take 😂.  I try to take other people’s concerns seriously though so I never made fun of anyone - just because something isn’t scary to me doesn’t mean the other persons fear isn’t real.

Before community spread started occurring outside China, I was not particularly worried.  Many scary novel viral infections start in China and China along with WHO and international help has usually managed to keep things under control.  I don’t think there was anything wrong with the general public not taking it seriously throughout most of January.  At that time, influenza truly was the bigger immediate threat outside of China.
Other than those briefed by WHO, I don’t know that there was a whole lot of information available to realize this would be orders of magnitude different. However,  world leaders were made aware and were told to prepare.  Unfortunately, many world leaders chose to ignore that advise and as a result many countries were unprepared. Lack of being prepared has offered this virus an opportunity unlike anything we’ve seen in modern times.
