Quiet time

As

Do you ladies ever set time aside to give baby (supervised) quiet time? I try to give him time with no activities or music where he just lays on the crib (he has no mobile), cooing, sucking on his hands, looking around, whatever he wants to do (of course i’m near by checking in and if he calls me i show up). Usually i try to do it 3 times a day- i give it in the morning when he first wakes up to adjust from the darkness to light and sleep to awake, in the early afternoon after the morning activities, and then again before bedtime to decompress the whole day.

If you do, how do you give them quiet time? I’m looking for ideas on what else i can do other than just let him chill in the crib for a few minutes. Also, do you “schedule” it or just go with baby’s flow?
