Baby food and formula?

Hey moms! I have a question. I just came from my son's doctor and she said we can start baby food :) My son is 4 months today. I totally forgot to ask how often do I give him baby food, and how often to keep giving the bottle along with baby food. Anyone have any advice? thanks!
SIDE NOTE: He's totally ready because he reaches for his bottle wide open as if it's a spoon, he can support his head, and he can sit supported! My little nugget even tries to reach with his mouth open for my food sometimes lol

I do it once a day; I started with a small scoop of bananas mixed with oatmeal with 2oz of formula in the morning for two days to see how he took to it. He did really good so I stopped that and gave him sweet potatoes yesterday at dinner, and today at lunch with 2oz bottle. I will give him more tomorrow when I get some more since he ate it all.
Next week we are gonna do carrots with his formula.

Formula or breastmilk is baby’s main source of nutrition for their first year of life. Feed your little one his bottle on his normal schedule then offer baby food 30-60 minutes afterwards. Food is mostly experimental at this age.

Try foods one at a time and then wait 3 days before introducing a new one so you know what food they are allergic to if they have a reaction. So day 1: avocado, day 4: banana, etc. Don’t do any mixed foods like strawberry banana until they have had both separately with no reaction

I just started trying baby food with mine. She was 4 months on the 14th. She isnt a fan of the cereal but we have tried peaches and she liked then and we tried peas today and she loved them. I give her half around 12 or so then the other half later

Mine told us to start once a day with oatmeal cereal then once she starts taking it well we can do cereal twice a day or do a baby food and cereal. She recommended doing one food for 3-4 days to test for allergies. Don’t do meats until after 6 months.
