Will taking progesterone help me get pregnant?

Right now my literal phase is about ten days, give or take a day.

My periods have always been 10-13 days long, my daughter was conceived by clomid after a year of trying.

We’ve been trying for a year again, and this time my doctor put me on progesterone. Does this aid in achieving pregnancy?

Also, I believe she told me to start it the day I receive a positive opk. Does this sound correct?
