Baptizing babies

Pa

For starters, I was born and raised catholic. Rarely went to church. My family isn’t huge on religion but did encourage all the sacraments etc growing up. I married through the church but it doesn’t mean I agree 100% with everything. I have many doubts or whatever so I haven’t thought about baptism for two huge reasons.

1. I don’t find it necessary, because of the “meaning” behind it

2. Finding/choosing godparents will for sure create drama.

Husband will of course prefer someone from his side (they’re hypocrites, they pretend to like me so no, I refuse to let some fake baptize my child). I would love to baptize our baby for the sake of my husbands wishes BUT choosing the godparents might end veeeery badly so idk 😰

Are you guys baptizing your baby?
