Anyone with SPD??

Question

I have been experiencing some serious pelvic pain and after looking online im pretty certain its SPD, Every time i get up from sitting or lying down the pain is unbearable! Feels like i rode a bicycle across america or something like a super sore an bruised feeling between my legs. Not sure what to do , dont want to risk going to the doctor if i dont have to.

I have it and I'd say DEFINITELY go to the doctor!! I had it last pregnancy and the obgyn I was at didn't do anything to help me with it, when I brought it up to my "new" doctor (she was my doctor for my first pregnancy, I moved away and just moved back) and she sent me to a physical therapy doctor. Just had the first appointment and I was told by her if it goes untreated that it can later in life cause many issues! Like urinary problems, pelvic floor collapsing, just continence issues in general!! When I learned this I was SO mad that the other doctors didn't do anything when this could have impacted me greatly later on in life. Also it is VERY important that after birth you work on getting your abdominal muscles back cuz that's a HUGE factor in what causes SPD

so i called my doctor an they didnt seem to worried about it, she said to use a belly band an to take tylenol. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am almost at a point where i cant even stand up on my own two feet an all they could do is tell me to take tylenol?! like obv i have been an its not working. idk how i am going to go another 3 weeks like this. I already sleep with pregnancy pillow an avoid opening my legs but its not doing anything. this is the worst! i didnt have this with my first baby 3 years ago.

I was diagnosed with spd a few weeks ago an it is painful, you preferably want to get a proper diagnosis so it can be put in you notes, so once you go into labour the midwives know to not get you to open your legs too wide past you pain point when it comes time to push. What I find helps is if you sleep with a pillow between your legs an when you turn over in the night keep your legs together, do the same when you get in an out the car having a bag on the seat help with being able to swing around. When going up an down stairs go one step at a time as it's less painful. Not much they can do for you unfortunatly apart from trying physiotherapy but you could also try a maternity belt.

Me!! 🙋🏼‍♀️ I just posted about this... I’ve never heard of SPD so I’ll look into that. I’m 36+2 and it hurts so much to walk and move around 🥺 I can’t imagine feeling this way for 4 more weeks
