How do I completely let go of an ex?

I am in a happy relationship I’ve never been happier but every time I hear my exs name or see my ex in public I get so mad and I just don’t know how to get that feeling out of me forever. I’m over him but I don’t know how to stop being mad at him. He and I dated for a while then I gave him my Virginity but as soon as that happened he broke up with me a week later. That’s what is making me so angry but how do I get over it. I want to continue my life happily without him affecting anything anymore. Please help!!

As things get better with your relationship, you’ll start to forget about him more and more. Forgiving yourself for making a bad decision is step one, and step two is forgiving him, not to his face, but to yourself, not because he deserves it, but because you deserve peace within. He can no longer steal your happiness, he doesn’t get to win, you do,. You were not a victim, you are victorious, taking time to heal is the biggest thing to getting over someone. Working on yourself both inside and out so that your past doesn’t hinder your future. By sabotaging your own happiness such as blaming the next for what the Ex did and that’s not fair to either of you. Or allowing trust issues or insecurities and doubts to sabotage your happiness. ￼￼Putting it in the past and leaving it there. Maybe try some journaling, screaming into a pillow, yoga or meditation, seeking counseling if you need to or medication. Just ignore him if you see him. He can kiss your butt. You are happy and that’s what matters. Live your life as though he doesn’t exist. ￼
