2 weeks postpartum, bath?

I am 2 weeks postpartum today and am anxious to kill time/relax in the bath tub. I know my doctor said no hot tubs for 6 weeks, I’d like to assume that’d be practically the same thing. However, taking a shot in the dark to see if anyone has ever taken a bath and been okay sooner than 6 weeks?

I was told no baths until bleeding stops  as our body can "inhale" water and tight now your cervix is still.opened and it a large wound that the bath water can get into and cause an infection..

I had a csection and my OB told me to soak when I could comfortably get myself out of the tub with no help. So about day 5. She’s 3 weeks old and I enjoy my bath time 😂

I don’t remember being told that with my kids. I was given a sitz bath during my stay at the hospital and one to take home to sooth the pains of my stitches which is practically the same as a regular bath being that your vagina and anus are submerged in water.

I took a bath the day after it got home from the hospital, I had a vaginal birth though idk if that makes a difference. I’ve had three vaginal births and never been told anything about hot tubs or baths.
