Can someone explain this to me???

I started my job on December 3ed at a daycare center and got told they didn’t need me because they were only aloud to have 10 teachers and they didn’t need me. I tried filing for unemployment and I got denied (first picture) what does It mean when it says “if a person does not have enough wages to qualify for a claim a alternate base period will be used”? I’m so confused and I tried calling but too many people are on hold.
