Yes. I thought it would last forever and that I would never find love again. I didn’t realize that I was closing myself off to new opportunities to love and it made me only feel more lost. I PROMISE you it gets better. I know it sounds cheesy but I promise promise promise that it doesn’t last forever, even though it feels like it. If you’re gonna believe anything, believe me. Be open. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and love. It took me six months of pure heartbreak and crying everyday. then I found someone new rather quickly, more quickly than I anticipated. they made me realize i can love again and why my last relationship ended. everything will makes sense. maybe not soon, but I promise it will. love yourself.

I have been through tough breakups, one was a after he cheated on me and because we had mutual friends (he’d known them years longer) I also lost my friends but I was over it in a day. I mourn before them end it, I learned a lesson and I can grow from it.

Yes, it took a couple of years to be ready to move on but you know what I look at him now and he’s the unhappy one stuck in a marriage that isn’t going his way living in a place he’s not fond of and i just think Years ago id have gave up everything for him and I almost did and got a wake up call, now he’s gave up everything for her and she’s played him and he’s stuck there. Im happy. He isn’t. He misses me, I don’t miss him.

first time i had a real heartbreak with this one guy it lasted a while. it lasted all of my freshman year and all my sophomore year pretty much. the first year we talked and etc and the second year he pretty much completely stopped talking to me. i swore i would never get over it but after about nine months into my sophomore year i finally one day i got tired of being sad over him and wanting to be with him and that's when i truly started getting over it. it took about four months for me to get over it. during those four months i wasn't really sad over him anymore but it was hard not to see him since he was my best friends brother. i started focusing on myself and my friends and i was pretty much 100% over him going into my junior year. in some ways i was still hurt i guess but i was over it enough to completely live my life and very very shortly after that is when i met a new guy (where i'm now in the same position as before as i am in a heartbreak that i feel like i will never get over and i'm just very sad all the time). i feel like a lot of it is in the moment we feel like it will last forever because we truly don't know how long we will still have feelings or love for the person but once it's over it doesn't seem that bad.
