Would You Be Upset?

A few nights ago my husband was moaning my best friends name in his sleep. He was obviously having a sex dream. He even had a boner. I told him about it the next day but told him I wasn’t upset about it. He was very apologetic but I really wasn’t upset. Then last night I was laying next to him and he started moaning his ex wife’s name. My heart immediately dropped to my stomach. I haven’t spoken to him much today cause honestly my feelings are a little hurt. I don’t know if I’m upset because of who’s name he said this time or if I’m upset that he’s had 2 sex dreams about 2 different girls that weren’t me in the last 3 or 4 days. Would you be upset?

I would be upset but I would forgive him because it's just a dream.

I mean it would hurt me, but I wouldn’t be mad at him. I’ve had dreams I’m sure thankful weren’t voiced so my husband can hear 🙊 But it doesn’t mean I want that instead of my life.

His erection might have nothing to do with the dream! Healthy men are supposed to get several during a night’s sleep. The dream may have had nothing sexual to it at all.

I don't see any value in getting upset over something someone does in their sleep. They have no control over their dreams.

I said no. Just because you cant control dreams, even if he did get a boner, they can't help it when they are sleeping.
However, I would still be feeling butt hurt about it for sure!

Dreams often get kickstarted by something we have talked about or thought about. That doesn’t mean that he was thinking something sexual or anything, it could have been that in the last couple days he thought about his past (good or bad) and the dream turned it into sexual. Men dream about sex a lot and anyone mentioned throughout the day could be thrown in. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything and he cannot control it. I’ve even had some weird dream about my best guy friend from high school that I happened to see an old post from on FB. Don’t talk to him, never been attracted to him, but I had a dream. It doesn’t mean that I want him or want anything to do with him. I know that it is annoying and doesn’t feel the best, but your husband apologized for something he can’t control, he’s a keeper.
